Context
Currently, beneficiaries of our client's services schedule their appointments with the accredited network only by calling the office, or other means such as WhatsApp, depending on whether the accredited doctor makes it available.
Objective
Create a Proof of Concept of an Online Scheduling flow via mobile application, to be mirrored in all our client's insurance products.
Desk Research
We started the project by researching how direct and indirect competitors deal with online bookings from their accredited networks.
Alergo Imuno
This is a multidisciplinary office, specializing in allergy treatments. It has its own mobile app where the patient schedules appointments, in addition to viewing prescriptions, certificates, and other documents.
UI
Distractionless interaction. Clean and pretty design. Easy to access other features.
Usability
A lot of steps to schedule an appointment, but it's still a lean and straightforward journey.
Mobile works?
It's a mobile app
Agendarconsulta.com
Web platform for appointment scheduling. Regardless of any insurance or health plan, doctors register their services, calendars, and agreements they accept. Within these parameters, the client looks for his specialist.
UI
Distractionless Interaction. Clean design, but it needs more polish. Still lean and straightforward journey.
Usability
Few steps to schedule an appointment, but at the end it had a sign-up barrier.
Mobile works?
Responsiveness works fine, with some errors. Gestures on a mobile phone doesn't work properly.
Dr. Consulta
Dr. Consulta is a digital multidisciplinary medical office franchise with affordable appointments. It's possible to schedule appointments, exams, and vaccines online. Regardless of any insurance or health plan, doctors register their services, calendars, and agreements they accept. Within these parameters, the client looks for his specialist.
UI
Distractionless Interaction. Clean design and pretty aesthetic.
Usability
Few steps to schedule an appointment. Bringing day and time before the doctor options is a clever idea.
Mobile works?
Responsiveness works great.
Guidelines
Our design needs to be clear of distractions, clean and white labeled, to support multiple insurance products and brands.
The journey to schedule an appointment needs to be quick and straightforward, a step-by-step flow and as lean as possible.
Mobile first. Designing the app primarily on mobile and expanding its versions to larger screens ensures the best possible experience for customers who will use our app on mobile (the vast majority)
Proposed Solution
User Journey when scheduling an Appointment.
This map shows a hypothetical user's thoughts and feelings when scheduling an appointment in our app.
App Map
This map briefly shows both the journey to scheduling an appointment and secondary features such as evaluating an appointment and canceling an appointment.
App Aesthetic
As a project guideline, the app will be white label. That is, it will not have any distinction for its own brand. So it will adjust to any company that might build products with our technology.
